How do I determine how much paint I need for my project?
Most of our standard finishes cover approximately 350-400 square feet per gallon. For specialty products like Lime Wash or Roman Clay, coverage varies based on application technique; we recommend using our online calculator for precise estimates.
What is the typical lead time for an order?
Since our colors are hand-mixed to order in our Los Angeles warehouse, please allow 3-5 business days for processing before your order ships via UPS.
Can I return paint if the color isn't what I expected?
Because all Portola Paints are custom-tinted to order, we cannot accept returns or exchanges. We strongly encourage purchasing a sample pot to test the color and finish in your space before committing to a full order.
Are Portola Paints eco-friendly?
Yes, we prioritize sustainability. The majority of our product line is low-VOC or zero-VOC, ensuring a safer environment for your home and the planet.
Do you ship internationally?
Currently, we ship to all 50 U.S. states and Canada. For other international inquiries, please contact our customer service team to discuss custom freight options.
What should I do if my paint arrives damaged?
Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival. If there is leaking or damage, take photos of the packaging and the product and contact us within 48 hours so we can issue a replacement.
